Question 1

How does the hybrid format balance energy between in-room and remote players?

Accepted Answer

Energy balance is the thing we obsess over in hybrid: a room full of people can easily drown out the folks dialing in from home, and the second the remote group feels like an audience instead of a team, the event is over for them. Our format solves this on two fronts. First, every team is mixed (in-room and remote players on the same team, on the same scoreboard), so the connection is structural, not just vibey. Second, we partner with Weve for hybrid staffing: an on-screen host runs the show for the remote feed while a local host works the room, and the two of them are scripted to throw beats to each other so neither group ever sits idle. The net is one event, not two.

Question 2

Will you donate the bikes to a specific local nonprofit?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we partner with a vetted local nonprofit in your city for the bike reveal at the end, and we're happy to match a specific charity if you have one in mind (we vet for 501(c)(3) status and capacity to receive). The kids from the recipient organization come in for the reveal whenever logistics allow; that moment is the whole reason we love running this event.

Question 3

What is your cancellation or reschedule policy?

Accepted Answer

Reschedules with more than 30 days notice are free. Inside 30 days we work case-by-case, and inside 7 days we ask for a partial fee to cover staff who already committed the date. Outright cancellations follow the same sliding scale. I'll send the exact terms over with the proposal so there are no surprises.

Question 4

How far in advance do we need to book?

Accepted Answer

For most formats 4-6 weeks is comfortable. Holiday season (November/December) and the most-requested hosts and venues book out 6-10 weeks ahead, so locking the date is what frees up the rest of the planning. We do run last-minute events when the bench has capacity — worth asking even if your date feels tight.

Question 5

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

Accepted Answer

Our practical minimum is 8 players or at least two teams, but it depends on which game. . The ceiling is whatever venue you can fit — we've run single events for 1,000+ players with multiple hosts and parallel rooms. The sweet spot for most clients is between 40 and 150.

Question 6

Do you offer events in languages other than English?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we run events in Spanish, French, German, and a handful of other languages depending on host availability. The challenges and host script are translated and adapted (not just word-for-word) so the humor lands. Worth flagging on our call so I can pair you with the right host bench.

Question 7

What are your tech requirements for a virtual or hybrid event?

Accepted Answer

Players join on a modern desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari — no install). We need ~5 Mbps down per player and outbound access on standard 443/WebSocket ports; corporate VPNs and most firewalls work out of the box. We always run a tech check with your IT lead a few days before to catch anything specific to your environment.

Question 8

Are events accessible for players with mobility or other accessibility needs?

Accepted Answer

Accessibility is baked into how we design every format: scavenger hunts have low-mobility challenge alternates, game shows are seated and screen-based by default, and our hosts are trained to adapt on the fly. Tell us what your team needs and we'll send a tailored plan back before contract.

Question 9

Can you customize the content with our company branding or inside jokes?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every event includes light branding (your logo on the scoreboard, your colors on team names) at the Pro level. Deeper customization (custom questions about your company, a CEO cameo round, a product-themed scavenger task) is a per-project add-on and the lift depends on what you want. I'll scope it on the call.

Question 10

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?

Accepted Answer

When we handle catering we collect dietary restrictions in the run-of-show questionnaire and brief the venue/caterer ahead of time. We can handle vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, halal, and the major allergens. Worth flagging anything unusual on our call so we can confirm with the venue before contract.

Question 11

Are your events competitive or collaborative?

Accepted Answer

A healthy mix of both. There's enough friendly competition to keep the energy high, but collaboration is what really drives success. Teams solve puzzles, complete creative missions, and tackle head-to-head challenges throughout the event. We also intentionally avoid turning events into endurance contests. We'd rather end while everyone is still having a blast than keep people walking until their feet hurt.

Question 12

Can alcohol be incorporated—or avoided?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many clients choose to end their event at a brewery, winery, or happy hour, while others prefer to keep things completely alcohol-free. We can accommodate either approach. In general, we think the best time to enjoy a drink is after the team-building portion wraps up, when everyone can relax and celebrate together.

Question 13

Can executives participate alongside employees?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. Some of our favorite events have CEOs solving puzzles right alongside interns. Mixing leadership into the teams creates great conversations, breaks down barriers, and reminds everyone that the event is about having fun together—not titles.

Question 14

Can you help us choose the right event for our goals?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Every group is different. Some teams have worked together for years; others are meeting in person for the very first time. Some want something highly energetic and creative, while others prefer strategy, problem-solving, or light competition. Tell us what you're hoping to accomplish, and we'll recommend the event that best fits your group, culture, and schedule.

Question 15

Can you include custom trivia or company history?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Your questions can be as professional or as playful as you'd like. Maybe it's: Which product feature launched in Q1? Who accidentally jumped into the hotel pool fully clothed at last year's sales kickoff? Which employee has worked here the longest? These little inside jokes and company stories are often the biggest laughs of the day.

Question 16

Can you incorporate our meeting theme or conference messaging?

Accepted Answer

Yes—and it's one of our favorite things to do. Our Pro and Premium experiences allow for extensive branding and customization throughout the app and event. Every package also includes company-specific trivia at no additional cost. We provide an easy-to-use portal where you can submit questions, and we'll seamlessly weave them into the game. It's a simple addition that makes the experience feel uniquely yours.

Question 17

Can you make the event less "cheesy?"

Accepted Answer

We hear this all the time. The truth is, many of us had the same skepticism before we started working here. That's why we build events we'd actually want to do ourselves. The focus is on shared experiences, clever challenges, genuine laughs, and friendly competition—not trust falls, forced icebreakers, or embarrassing anyone in front of the group.

Question 18

Can you work with our venue, or do we need to find one?

Accepted Answer

Either works. We're just as comfortable running events at your office or conference venue as we are taking teams out into the city. Over the past 25 years we've built relationships with trusted venues across North America, so if you're looking for recommendations, we're happy to help. For events of up to around 100 guests, we can also provide the AV equipment needed for the experience.

Question 19

How much work is required from our team?

Accepted Answer

Very little—that's by design. We'll absolutely welcome your ideas and input, but our goal is to make this one of the easiest parts of your event to plan. We know you've got a dozen other responsibilities competing for your attention, so we handle the logistics, production, and execution while keeping you in the loop where it matters. Our favorite compliment is hearing that the organizer got all the credit without having to do all the work.

Question 20

What happens if it rains or the weather changes?

Accepted Answer

We're very much a rain-or-shine company. Most of our outdoor events can continue even when the weather doesn't cooperate. Our scavenger hunts use SmartRouting™ technology, which lets us activate and deactivate missions in real time. If a challenge takes place in the middle of an exposed park, we can swap it out for one under cover without players missing a beat. In 25 years, we've only had to cancel a handful of events—and all were due to extreme weather like hurricanes.

Question 21

What happens if someone has technical issues?

Accepted Answer

Real humans are always available to help. Whether it's a virtual event or an in-person scavenger hunt, our production team is there to troubleshoot if something comes up. Most issues are simple—like someone's phone battery dying—and can be resolved in seconds without disrupting the rest of the team.

Question 22

What if our headcount changes?

Accepted Answer

No problem. Final numbers almost always shift a little as people RSVP, cancel, or bring a colleague. We're used to last-minute changes and can easily add or remove teams before or even during an event. If your attendance changes dramatically, we may need to adjust staffing or update the invoice, but normal fluctuations are simply part of event planning.

Question 23

What if some people don't like games or team building?

Accepted Answer

Honestly? We designed these events for those people. Many of us are the ones who used to roll our eyes when someone announced a mandatory team-building activity. That's exactly why our experiences are built to feel more like a great afternoon with friends than an awkward corporate exercise. We also believe everyone deserves a "hero moment." Some people shine in creative challenges, others in puzzles, trivia, observation, leadership, or performance. By mixing challenge types, every team member gets a chance to contribute.

Question 24

What makes The Go Game different?

Accepted Answer

Experience matters. We've been creating team-building events for more than 25 years, and we've built our own technology specifically for live experiences—not adapted it from something else. Just as importantly, many of our producers, hosts, and event staff have been with us for a decade or more. They've seen just about every situation imaginable, which means your event is in experienced hands from start to finish.

Question 25

What types of companies hire The Go Game?

Accepted Answer

From Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing startups to schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and small businesses—we've worked with just about every type of organization. Some clients bring us in for a 20-person leadership retreat, while others hire us to entertain more than 1,000 attendees at a conference. The common thread isn't company size—it's teams looking to connect, laugh, and have a genuinely memorable experience together.

Question 26

Will introverts feel comfortable participating?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Not every challenge involves performing in front of strangers or singing on a subway platform. We design our events with a wide variety of personalities in mind, offering creative, analytical, observational, and collaborative challenges so everyone has an opportunity to contribute in a way that feels natural.
