Downtown Phoenix supplied the setting. DPR Construction supplied eight teams ready to put their observation skills, creativity, and competitive instincts to work. On October 7, 2026, their Classic Adventure turned the streets around Copper Square into a shared game, with on-site host Tyler Vasquez and producer Morgan Fitzgibbons behind the experience.

A city becomes the game board

The adventure started at the plaza outside the Herberger Theater Center. Team photos captured colleagues gathering around its sculptures before taking on a mix of location clues, trivia, brain burners, and creative missions.

The route made downtown details part of the challenge. Clues pointed teams toward features such as the Bitter & Twisted building stone and a fire hydrant at Jefferson and 2nd Street. Instead of simply passing through the neighborhood, players had reasons to stop, look closely, compare ideas, and decide on an answer together. The event’s planned finish was Rosso Italian, giving the adventure a downtown starting point and destination.

Different ways to join in

Solving clues was only one part of the competition. The creative rounds asked teams to make a Ridiculous Sports Victory Dance, tackle Record Breakers, and produce their own take on Yearbook Fame. Head-to-head activities added direct encounters between teams, with challenges including Face Off, Anecdote Gloat, and Compliment Duel.

That variety gave the game more than one kind of contribution: spotting a detail, working through a question, proposing an idea, or stepping into a photo or video. Team names such as The Standouts, Risky Business, and Oceans 5 added another layer of personality.

The story is in the submissions

All eight teams submitted a team photo, and all eight recorded a Ridiculous Sports Victory Dance. Six teams submitted Record Breakers photos, while six created Yearbook Fame photo series. Those contributions show how the group moved between exploring Phoenix and making something of its own.

The result was a collection of team-created moments rooted in a real place: colleagues posing together at the theater, competing across downtown, and turning a shared prompt into different interpretations. For a construction company, this outing offered a fresh setting for doing things together, with the city itself providing the clues.
