Doing what we know best. Doing what we can.

Times are getting tough these days, with the declining economy it's tough to see what the future holds. I bet if Michael Jackson had seen that coming he wouldn't have bought as many frivolous things as he did. Now I've always been curious as to what goes on in MJ's head but after looking through the auction booklets from his estate auction... I must say, I'm more confused now then before I knew what was inside his house. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that he has paintings like this:

let me reiterate this: the above is an ACTUAL PAINTING that will be at Michael Jacksons estate auction. HE ACTUALLY HAD AN ARTIST PAINT THIS FOR HIM.. HE REALLY DID.
I really like to imagine the conversation he had trying to explain to the artist what he wanted done:
"I want a painting of me wearing my aviators and my rhinestone glove on, next to a bunch of other famous people wearing the glasses and glove. famous people like... I dunno, George Washingtion, E.T. or the Mona Lisa."
I think I'm still in some sort of in awe/shock of the things that he has that I couldn't even think of any good new Michael Jackson jokes, which was my real first intentions of checking out his auction.
Anyways, times are tough on everyone. Here at the go game we're trying to help in what ways we can to either give back to the communities in some way or to even just brighten the mood with silliness. Since we're good at making games, that's what we're going to use to help make things better. In just 10 days we are having a community game in Austin Texas where anyone can sign up to play. The best part about this game is that simply by signing up to play you are helping raise money for the charity, Easter Seals of Central Texas, who help provide services for people with disabilities and their families. It's going to be a lot of fun, and it will help a good cause during hard times. What else could you ask for?
