Team Building Games

Classic Go Game

The Go Game is the intersection of wireless technology, the Amazing Race, Cranium, and Mission: Impossible. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure -- it’s the most fun your company has ever had and team building as you have never seen it, a scavenger hunt on steroids!

Imagine your company split into teams of 4 to 8 players, all competing to complete missions in the most ingenious, daring, and creative ways possible. These missions, downloaded to each team's web-enabled cell phone, may lead players to a hidden clue, a creative challenge, an undercover agent, or even a public display of outrageousness… and the list goes on. Each mission directs the team to solve a puzzle or complete a task within a game zone consisting of a few blocks of a city neighborhood or perhaps your resort or convention center. Our proprietary software, MazeMaker 2.0, allows HQ to track their progress and provide a customized experience for each team. Players complete missions by submitting digital photos and text answers back to HQ in a constant give and take of digital information. Each Go Game features three basic genres of missions:

Mission Type 1: Sneak and Snoop

Sneak and Snoops are location-based puzzles written specifically for your game zone. Teams may be instructed to find a clue hidden under a park bench or solve a riddle about a public mural. Players will interact with the local environment and draw upon outside knowledge to answer questions based on anything from historical factoids to pop culture to company-specific trivia

Mission Type 2: Actor Missions

Every Go Game features characters sprinkled liberally throughout the game zone to interact with the teams in a number of interesting and surprising ways. Immediately obvious actors might be the guy dressed up as Batman on the street corner and the woman in the spy outfit and sunglasses at the coffee shop. A more unexpected plant could turn out to be a benevolent meter maid with a ticket in code or even a Shakespeare-spouting street musician with a secret password. We can also customize actor roles for more targeted games. We’ve done marketing games where actors could pose as characters from your latest video game release and sales conventions where each actor is a trained facilitator. In every instance, interacting with our secret operatives is a unique and exciting facet of the game. All of a sudden, ANYONE could be in on the action.

Mission Type 3: Creative Missions

The creative missions are possibly the most fun of all, as teams get the opportunity to truly showcase their skills and creativity. These open-ended interpretive missions require players to work as a team to create a hilarious scene and capture it with the provided digital camera. Maybe the mission is to take a photo of the team gaining the trust of an absolute stranger, or to create a company ad campaign for the year 2050. Or it might be a video mission where the task is to recreate an event from world history…through dance! These missions are also easily customizable for your marketing or training game, asking players to brainstorm ideas for a new product or ad campaign. The possibilities are endless and The Go Game has a database of thousands of time-tested hilarious and entertaining activities.

The Judging

The game eventually leads all teams back to a single location such as a bar, restaurant, or office space, where the players reunite and view a multimedia presentation complete with sound effects and a live MC. Teams get to see the photos and videos taken during the day and vote for their favorite shots! Scores are instantly available, and the judging ends with a presentation of winners and their prizes, all provided by The Go Game. It’s a hilarious and entertaining end to the day’s adventure. But the fun doesn’t stop there…

Within a few days, the creative photos and videos will be uploaded to a password-protected website that players will download, discuss, and revisit again and again. Memos and digital photos circulate throughout the office about that hilarious photo of Bob from the marketing department or the video of ‘How not to get a raise”. We’ve been told that photos taken during the game were blown up into office posters, that a certain pickup line has become the company’s new inside joke, and that the first place trophy still holds a place of honor on the boss’s desk two years later. But beyond this shared laughter and camaraderie, you’ll notice the development of a more creative and cohesive workforce. After a day of making collective decisions, seeing each other in new situations and displaying aspects of their personality that may not come out in the office, players form stronger bonds that translate back to the workplace. No matter what your particular goals are, expect a new appreciation for the company and its leaders. You’ll have been given the gift of a fun, energetic, and interactive day outside of the office while simultaneously building a stronger team.
