Answers To Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can participate?
We create and run games for groups of 10-1000. With advance booking, we can run games for up to 10,000 people.

How long does the game last?
We bill our game as a half day event, but we are flexible and will work within your needs. A typical game runs about 4-5 hours in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

Where does the game take place?
Anywhere there is cell phone coverage. We can also create games to be played on new devices, such as PDA's and smartphones.

What special gear is required?
We provide all the phones and cameras. Players should wear comfortable clothes and good walking shoes. The wearing of capes and sporty underwear on the "outside" will not be discouraged.
.
How will we know how to use the phones and cameras?
Before the game, all teams are given a tutorial on how to operate their Go Game gear. Teams are also each given a one-page instruction sheet with hints and tips on using the equipment.

How do the phones send and receive missions?
We use phones that offer the wireless web.. The phones we use have large screens for easy legibility and are easy to use. You will not be placing calls on these phones. All information is automatically downloaded to the phone.

Do all teams run the same course?
No, but a few missions are common to every course. Those are the missions you'll be judging at the end. All teams end up at the same location, where the fun continues with the judging portion of the game.

Can everyone play?
Yes. People of all levels of physical ability can play The Go Game. If a person is unable to walk, we can write them into the game as one of our agents!

Are prizes provided?
The winning team receives a trophy or individual medals. We also provide gag gifts for the other top teams.

What is included in the cost of a game?
The price includes everything but the food and beverages during the judging. Some games also require a screen rental as well.

Can the game be customized?
Every game includes standard customization. We sprinkle personal and corporate trivia questions into the game, include themes and goals of your group, and add in creative missions that pertain to what the players do on a daily basis. Players leave feeling like the game was written just for them.

"Several people within my department had heard of The Go Game, but even the glowing recommendations could not have prepared us for the event. We all had an amazing time! I had been looking for a team building event to encourage the different functional areas of my department to work together more closely in preparation for several large projects. The Go Game was perfect in that it removed the barriers between groups and provided an even playing field where everyone's efforts made a difference - you wouldn't have been able to identify the managers since everyone was able to be an active leader throughout the game. Two months later and we're still talking about the event and working as a well-oiled machine."
