Lea Bender

Lea brings her background in theatre, writing, circus arts and site-specific performance to The Go Game. Originally from the East Coast, Lea holds a degree in Theatre from Skidmore College (NY) and is co-founder of Vessel (www.vesselproject.org), a physically-based theatre company in NYC. Since 1998, Lea has lived and worked in San Francisco where her performances have ranged from theatrical circus performance (fire, trapeze, stilts) to theatre and independent film. Lea also teaches acting and playwriting to youth. Her first solo show Second Sight premiered in the Bay Area in June of 2005. Lea currently is currently living (and running Go Games) in NYC. She loves The Go Game for the sense of play and excitement it brings to an ordinary day in the neighborhood.
