Developer Job At The Go Game

The Go Game is looking to take on a computer guy or gal to do the tech stuff here at our Factory O'Fun.  It's essentially a coder position, but it's much much more as they will be assisting in every aspect of our technological growth in the coming years. Hopefully you or someone you know might fit the bill, so read on and pass it on.

Key to the position is finding someone who will mesh with our casual and unique work environment in the heart of The Mission. The Go Games staff consists of creative and talented people who thrive on producing engaging team building games for companies around the world.  In the past two years we have grown from a five to twenty five strong and set up satellite offices around the US and abroad. We place a premium on finding self-driven, humorous people who have strong production skills and enjoy being part of a diverse team.  Currently on staff we have a documentary film maker and creator of The Carrot Mob, several gifted improv theater actors, five musicians (three of which perform regularly), a tap dancer, a stand-up comedian, a graphic artist, an ER doctor and brains behind The Flash Mobs, a former business owner and entrepreneur, a number of outdoor enthusiasts and a half dozen knock-out chefs!  Its a diverse cast of characters who all contribute to the fun factor.

Each month, a member of The Go Game staff creates a brand new game we call Hot Turnip for all to take part in.  This is how we test out new ideas and technology for creating the next game we take to market.  We also sponsor happy hours, dinners out, and our own team building excursions around the bay area. And the job itself taps into peoples creativity as they constantly have to come up with customized game material and strategies for building new games.

The coder position here will be one with a lot of exposure to the creative process, the staff and the two founders who are looking to create and license a complete gaming platform in the coming year. This is a high-responsibility job that will bring much in the way of reward for producing great work and experience for your overall career track in the world of Alternate Reality Gaming and beyond.  You will be working directly with Finnegan Kelly, a co-founder who designed and programmed the game in its current iteration.
