My favorite GoGame moment actually happened before I worked here. I played The Go Game for a friends Birthday party on a beautiful Spring afternoon in the Haight Disctrict of SF. The sun was shining, the hippies were stinky, and the bars were packed for an afternoon European football match. The stage was certainly set for magic as I was new to the city freshly arrived from Asia and agog at the spirit and liveliness of the people. We received a mission to find an Agent Hot Stuff in the only Irish pub in this part of town and use our best James Bond pick-up line to get the secret code. One of the guys in my group had a huge grin on his face as claimed he had "the perfect" line. We walked into the bar and it was packed tighter than a Japanese train car. Which one is she? My teammate picked a woman he thought was the agent and walked up to her, chest-puffed out and full of confidence, and gave his line as we watched from afar. Well, his head sank and he walked back dejected. A girl on my team then claimed she had the best pick up line. She got up on a bar stool and started yelling over the crowd, "Gina! Gina! Come back to me! Let's get married!" A hush waved over the madness. No one knew it was a Game except for my team and the actress. From the corner of the bar Agent Hot Stuff's hand raised, they ran at each other through the crowd and hugged. The entire bar just thought they just witnessed an actual proposal. Needless to say, we won the Game and the rest is history.
